  • One year ago this week I walked into level 5 defeated. I had allowed my health & fitness take last place priority. One of my best friends from high school had just passed from health issues and finally realized I had to do something to continue to provide for my family as long as I could. My kids are young. Me, not so much. The first couple months at the gym was a terrible mental grind to get over. I had never been a gym member anywhere before, unless boot camp counts 20 years ago. I signed up for three days a week because, at the time, I decided my body needed some shock and awe treatment.... even deserving of the abuse. The price seemed steep at first, but I had to do something, I had not been able to on my own. Cutting the daily drive through mocha covered most of it realized and cut a ton of calories. I did not expect to see so many different ability levels in the same classes, modifying as needed and actively encouraging, even cheering each other on. Around month three I hit a stride. I found myself smiling at the gym and looking forward to the workout. Inspired and encouraged by Coach and everyone there. I started working out in Hotel gyms when traveling for the first time ever! Fast forward to this week. I’m stronger, faster, healthier then I’ve been in over a decade. Nothing more then tracking my diet and setting food goals for the first time ever and CrossFit 3 days a week has brought me here. 50 pounds lighter. I don’t know exactly what I’m training for now, so I’ll train for everything! Thank you Coach and all the gang! ps... I wasn’t able to do a single pull up on day 1.... did 45 over the course of the workout today!

OUR “STRENGTH PROGRAM” Level 5 Barbell

Level 5 Barbell offers the best atmosphere, coaching and equipment for anyone looking to get stronger and healthier. We focus on the Big 6 Lifts – the Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift, Snatch, Clean & Jerk. We do many variations of these but all of our movements all full-body, core-based, compound and functional. In our 7 weekly barbell classes we teach the fundamentals and mastery of these movements with a hands-on and personal approach.

Level 5 Barbell is first and foremost a family; a family of great people of all types that share a unique drive to become stronger, healthier, and more confident, while remaining supportive of one another and humble.

Level 5 Barbell is a club whose members all have a strong motivation and dedication to get stronger and do more. Some compete against others and some just compete against themselves but every member of the club supports, encourages and pushes one another towards their goals. We provide a friendly, positive, supportive, teams-based atmosphere that yo can call home.
